A Tribute To Those Who've Left Us

Goodbyes are not forever.

Goodbyes are not the end.

They simply mean I'll miss you,

Until we meet again! ~ author unknown ~

It's always a painful time for our staff here in Oak View when one of our residents passes away and it NEVER gets any easier. Of course, for the friends and family of the deceased it's even harder.

We've decided to create a memorial page on our website to commemorate those who have passed. You are welcome to add your own personal tributes and memories in the comments box on on the page.

"Not how did he die, but how did he live?

Not what did he gain, but what did he give?

These are the units to measure the worth

Of a man, as a man, regardless of birth.

Not what was his church, nor what was his creed,

But had he befriended those really in need?

Was he ever-ready with words of good cheer,

To bring back a smile, to banish a tear.

Not what the sketch in the newspaper says,

But how many were sorry when he passed away"
